Larus fuscus fuscus 8cy C18C, July 16 2003, Tampere, Finland (61.33N 24.59E).

C18C was ringed in Vkoski, Finland (61,28N 24,11E); ringed as pullus on June 28 1996 by Risto Juvaste. Hand when ringed: 175 mm. 
Ring recorded, most at Tampere landfill:
1999: 6 records from 1999-06-18 until 1998-08-26,
2000: 19 records from 2000-04-24 until 2000-07-29,
2001: 58 records from 2001-04-13 until 2001-09-06, 
2002: 28 records from 2002-04-23 until 2002-08-29,
2003: 10 records from 2003-05-25 until 2003-07-31.

Ringed as pullus at Vkoski, in 1997, now in 8cy. A representative for the adult fuscus by mid-July. Fuscus features: the small size (probably a female), the slender bill, the dark upper-parts which turn brown hued when older and worn, the lack of moult in the scapulars, wing-coverts and the primaries and the small white tips on the outer primaries, which wear away quickly.
