Larus fuscus fuscus adult, December 10 2010, Ashdod. Picture Amir Ben Dov.
Unringed adult nominate fuscus by early December. P6 fully grown, P7 growing, P10 still old. Moult in the secondaries: S1-S3 replaced and than the ordinary moult gap up to about S12. In the last phase of the complete moulkt, these seconadries are often dropped in small clusters it seems. Tail complete.
Head streaking heavily in this bird, but everything else points to adult plumage. Small black spot on the gonys not uncommon in adult fuscus in winter.
